Ready for 2025

As the last of many preparation days for the start of the 2025 season, numerous helpers gathered at the museum on the morning of April 19th to set up the exhibition and the coffee shop “Ready For Takeoff.” The airplanes were secured in their new arrangement, display cases were reorganized and cleaned, the simulator was prepared, and a new television was set up with videos about the airbase.

Of course, some cleaning and repair work was also necessary, which, thanks to the active participation, posed no problem. For example, parts of the floor in the coffee shop had to be re-laid.

Additionally, in memory of the collision of two F/A-18 Hornets over Karlsruhe and the death of one of the pilots on April 17, 1990, a special exhibition was prepared.
