Dear members, dear friends and supporters of the museum,

the new year has already passed several weeks – it’s high time to inform you about the current developments surrounding the German-Canadian Air Force Museum.

Reopening on April 27, 2025

We are very pleased to invite you to the season opening on Sunday, April 27, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM!
As usual, we open our doors every Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Come by and discover our newly arranged exhibits as well as exciting new pieces.

New Board Elected

During this year’s annual meeting, a new board was elected.
We thank Donald Woods, our previous chairman, for his many years of outstanding commitment!

The new board consists of the following members:

  • Chairman: Marius Dotter
  • Vice Chairman: Holger Schumacher
  • Treasurer: Patricia Ginetto (continuing)
  • Secretary: Jochen Schmich

We reflected together on an eventful and successful year 2024 and look forward to many new projects!

Regulars’ Tables – Successfully Started

Our regulars’ tables introduced last year were a great success! Many participants - including guests - exchanged ideas about military aviation, the airbase, the museum, and many other topics. It was very cozy evenings, and we look forward to continuing.

The next regulars’ table will take place on May 2, 2025, and from that point on, it will be held monthly. Further dates will be announced in a timely manner via newsletter or through social media channels.

Cleaning Day & Season Preparations

On the first cleaning day, many diligent hands ensured that our museum shines again in new splendor.
A big thank you to everyone who helped – whether by cleaning, remodeling, or setting up new exhibits!

Another cleaning day will take place on Saturday, April 19 at 8:00 AM.

On this day, there will also be an introduction to the simulator and the new audio guide for all those who will be serving at the museum.

Additionally, the museum crew meets every Thursday to complete final tasks before the opening.

Every helping hand is welcome!

Dates 2025

The known dates for 2025 are as follows:

  • April 19, 2025: Cleaning Day & Simulator Introduction, 8:00 AM
  • April 27, 2025: Season Opening, 1:00–5:00 PM
  • May 2, 2025: Regulars’ Table, 7:00 PM
  • June 28, 2025: Airpark Festival (details to follow)

We will report on news immediately at this point, as well as on our website and social media channels.

We look forward to an exciting season with many visitors, new projects, and shared moments!
